Welcome to the Songkhla Marathon, an annual event that brings together athletes and enthusiasts from across Thailand and beyond. Held in the vibrant city of Songkhla, this marathon promotes health, boosts local tourism, and fosters community engagement.

Since its inception in 1997, it has grown into a major sporting destination in Southern Thailand, attracting not only domestic runners but also from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and more. In 2023, the event has gained international recognition with the World Athletics Road Race Label, enhancing its reputation for safety and excellence.

Categories and Joining Fee

Managing Runner Start Areas (Start Block)

To keep things organized and safe for everyone, start areas (Start Blocks) will be assigned based on the estimated finish times you provided during registration. The organizers reserve the right to allocate start areas according to these estimates. The primary consideration for allocation will begin with races accredited by World Athletics (World Athletic Label) and the Athletics Association of Thailand. All blocks will start at the same time.

Race Entry Pack Collection (REPC)


Race pack collection procedure

1. Please present your passport when collecting.

2. You must collect your competition number in person.

3. Wristbands corresponding to your competition category will be provided at the collection point, and only authorized staff will assist with putting them on.

4. Please note that the wristband must be intact and unaltered. Failure to wear the correct wristband will result in denial of entry to the start area on race day.

5. To ensure medical safety and fair competition, the organizers prohibit the buying, selling, or transferring of competition numbers. If any violations occur, both the giver and receiver will be disqualified from participating in this event for three years.

Winner's Prizes




Judging Criteria Competition Results
 
1. GUN TIME will determine winners in all general categories of competition.
2. CHIP TIME will be used to determine winners in age group categories across all events.
3. Gender will be based on biological sex at birth.
4. Minimum age of Minimarathon participants are 17 years old and above
5. Participants must be at least 18 years old for the half marathon category.
6. Participants must be at least 19 years old for the marathon category.
7. There will be no adjustments to winner rankings in any category if competition rules are violated; decisions are final.
8. Outside assistance from individuals—including supporters, spectators, family members, or friends—during the race is not allowed, as it may create unfair advantages. If violations are detected, organizers reserve the right to confiscate trophies and/or prize money.
