The Khmer Empire, now known as Cambodia, was once the most powerful Empire in Southeast Asia. The Angkor as the central area of settlement of the Kingdom of Khmer from the 9th to 13th centuries, was the symbol of the ancient civilization of Khmer people and also revealed as the largest pre-industrial urban center in the world.

The Khmer Empire Marathon will offer an exceptional opportunity for runners around the world to experience the ancient course in the area of World heritage through nearly 40 ancient temples along the pretty smooth road race which almost cut through the national forest.

Khmer Empire Marathon is also a charity race to the support of disable people and children hospitals in Cambodia. The Cambodia Events Organizer team with all our partners would like to invite all professional and amateur runners from around the world come to participate in this exceptional marathon event, to show the ultimate friendship and kind support to disable people and poor children in Cambodia.

We are looking forward to offer all runners a warm Khmer welcome and experience of a beautiful race in the ancient location of Khmer Civilization.

  • Change of race distance: You are required to pay the difference between the applicable fee at the time of change and the fee you originally paid if fee for new race distance is higher (No refund if fee for new distance is lower, It is accepted before the deadline and the changing race should be endured the extra admin fee of 20 USD)

Notice
It is compulsory for all participants to self collect. In case you are unable to be present, you can please ask someone else to collect race package on your behalf and the items required are:

  • Participant has to write a letter of authorization to notice someone's name and also a copy photo sized' someone who will pick up instead
  • Copy of the participant confirmation & copy of the participant's passport photo size

** Important: There is no Race Pack Collection on race day!

 

What to do at Race Pack Collection?

  • Present your registration QR code to collect your race kit
  • Check your name and category printed on the Bib
  • For 42km, 21km & 10km runners, go to “BIB Check” counter to scan and confirm that your Bib information is correct.
  • Go to the ticket counter to collect your Gala Dinner and Course Inspection ticket and Pledge donation, if you had paid for it during your online registration.

Pre-Gala Dinner

The Khmer Empire Marathon pre-race dinner will be served with buffet dinner and entertainment showcasing Traditional Khmer Dance. Please join us and get to know other runners before your race. Limited to the first 200 pax only.

Date/Time/Venue of the Pre-Gala Dinner will be advised as we get nearer to the event date.

Course Inspection

The race course is flat and leads to the ancient temples and trees. The temples along our course are Angkor Wat, Basei Chamkrong, South gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Takeo, Srah Srang, Ta Prohm, Banteay Kdei, Prasat Kravan and many others. These are some of the iconic temples within Angkor Wat UNESCO site.

You can join us during our course inspection by buying a ticket during your online registration. It is limited to 200 tickets only!
